South Kensington is an excellent place to put up for the tourist in London with its polished and refined  culture, mind-blowing food , lively and glamorous shops which are all nearby and within the  reach.

One hotel puts itself front and centre of the pack is The Kensington Hotel is set in a beautiful period building. The property has a white facade, but as the guests walk in on Queen’s Gate guests they find the lobby colorful and inviting. A Street lined with equally grand properties, is a five-star venue that – in a city with some extremely stiff competition – does luxury very well indeed.  The property has been recently refurbished and is furnished throughout, consists of a spacious reception room with wood floors and doors leading to a spacious South facing roof terrace, fully fitted kitchen equipped with all essentials leading to a lovely rear balcony. The abundance of comfy chairs, warm fireplaces, and cozy sofas makes the drawing room a nice spot for afternoon tea. This is a romantic hotel, where you can expect petals in bathtubs and mood lighting. It’s a wonderful choice for couples and business people.

The Kensington is part of the Doyle Collection, a group of eight luxury hotels around the globe. A classy, four-and-a-half pearl property that has 150 rooms, this hotel is comfortable and contemporary with a chic location in the well-heeled neighbourhood after which it’s named. Where the Kensington falls short is in its lack of extensive spa facilities.
