Abderrazak Hamdallah, a Moroccan football player has been announced the best and highest scorer of the year 2019. He was able to achieve 57 goals in all the fixtures all around the year.
The football player scored a hat-trick for his Saudi Al Nasser football club against Al Feiha on Saturday, December 28.
That hat-trick catapulted Abderrazak Hamdallah to world’s top scorer this year, surpassing Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski, who scored 54 goals, and Barcelona’s Lionel Messi (50 goals).
“I am very glad today that I won the top scorer of the world in 2019 with 57 goals,” Hamdallah said.
“This is an honour for me and for everyone. I thank my team, especially the players, for their help and I do not forget Al Nassr fans. I’m looking forward to another successful year,” he added.
The 29-year-old striker repeated issues with Morocco’s footballing authorities have kept him outside the purview of the Moroccan national team. The football player announced his international retirement on November 11.
The president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, however said that Morocco’s football federation has not yet received any official notice about the football player’s retirement.
Hamdallah’s last appearance with the Moroccan national football team was on June 12, when the Atlas Lions lost 1-0 to the Gambian national team in a friendly game in preparation for this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
